The fund will provide a mix of loans, grants and mentoring support to a range of community anchor-type organisations across England. It is designed to help empower citizens and communities by strengthening the resilience of multi-purpose community-led organisations across England through a mixture of financial and advisory support.

National Tenant Voice begins to take shape

Plans for the new independent National Tenant Voice (NTV), which will give tenants a say on the housing issues affecting them, were published this week and have been accepted by Ministers.
The proposals suggested by tenants include a National Tenant Council made up of 50 social housing tenants from across the country to advise the NTV Board on issues concerning them.

Government attempts to involve patients and the public in local health services are failing according to a new report launched today by the Royal College of Nursing and National Voices.
The report - Local healthcare commissioning: grassroots involvement?- reveals that many patients feel local healthcare commissioning (LHC), the process intended to ensure health and care services effectively meet the needs of the local population by engaging with patient representatives, is not working effectively
